Description
A joint Provençal venture set up in 1989 by two of Burgundy’s finest producers, Dujac and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, produces a marvellous Méditerranée rosé. Mostly cinsaut, with grenache, syrah and merlot, it’s a wonderfully refreshing, pink grapefruit and pomegranate gem.
The best summer wines, Jane MacQuitty, The Times (July 2025)
Domaine de Triennes is the Mediterranean project of Burgundy’s famous Domaine Dujac. The property, located in the Var region east of Aix, was purchased in 1989 by Jacques Seysses and Aubert de Villaine (of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti). It has since been transformed into one of the top rosé-producing estates in the region.
A blend of mainly Cinsault with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, this is a crisp, refreshing rosé which offers up aromas of fresh strawberries, vanilla and acacia. The south-facing slopes provide generous mid-palate fruit, while the clay-limestone soils give a cool elegance and refreshing finish.
