Description

The Syrah grows on a mix of plots in the southern sector of the Côte-Rôtie and is co-fermented with 10% Viognier. There is a ripe, wild red berry nose with a touch of rose perfume. Fresh strawberry jam and blackberries add depth to the palate and temper the redcurrant acidity, while fine-grained tannins and black pepper provide the spine.

Tasted blind. Cherry cola, kirsch and pepper. There is good zippy freshness on the palate with fine, taut tannins, red fruits, violets and apricot on the tight, sweet finish. Attractive.
