The 2020 Réserve Personnelle is simply captivating. It opens with a beautiful bouquet of ripe orchard fruits—pear, golden apple, and white peach—lifted by subtle hints of honey, toasted almond, and a touch of gentle spice that feels just right. On the palate, there’s a wonderful balance between richness and finesse. The lush, textured fruit is perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity, with a delicate mineral thread weaving everything together. The finish lingers gracefully, carrying bright notes of citrus zest and soft spice with an elegant poise that’s hard to forget. This Pinot Gris feels like a true masterpiece—one that’s ready to enjoy now but will also develop beautifully with a bit of patience.

So ripe and concentrated, yet so refined, this is a very silky and polished pinot gris. Not quite dry, but with a few years of bottle age, this will easily be dry enough. Wonderful, silky texture at the very long finish. From vineyards in Ribeauville, Hunawihr and Bergheim. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
