Description
The Terre d’Obus is the most floral of Alexandre’s wines, with a pleasing mixture of honeysuckle, lemon pith and white peach on the nose. A lovely straw colour, the palate is richer with candied orange, hazelnut, hawthorn, nectarine and sweet spice. A good 36 months of ageing in wood has given it an almost tannic texture although the mineral core balances this out. The crisp acidity on the finish reminds you that this is indeed made in Pouilly-Fumé. Almost reminiscent of Dagueneau, this is a serious wine that will age for quite a few years to come.
