Description

The L. d’Ange vineyard is located just a stone’s throw from Pierres Précieuses. It is firmly embedded in a vein of pure limestone, giving this wine a linear purity and salty backbone. Golden grapes, lime pickle, marmalade and a hint of spice mingle on the palate. There is a trace of caramelisation, perhaps from a handful of botrytised grapes, offset by vibrant, intense acidity and a lick of sea-spray. The wine has undergone significant ageing – 24 months in steel and 24 months in wood – yet it feels impeccably fresh. It is fascinating.
