Description
The Octomore series of whiskies are Bruichladdich's super-heavily peated expressions, named after a nearby farm where barley is grown for the distillery. There are a trio of cask types involved here, ex-Pauillac, ex-Amarone and ex-Oloroso. It offers peppery nutmeg and cinnamon spice alongside the deep smokiness, with some berry fruits, sweet tobacco and apple skins.
