Château Latour’s vineyards lie at the southern edge of Pauillac, bordering St Julien. Classified as a First Growth in 1855, Latour sits at the very top of Bordeaux’s hierarchy alongside Lafite Rothschild, Margaux, Haut-Brion, and Mouton Rothschild.
While the estate’s origins date back centuries, its modern legacy is shaped by François Pinault and Artémis Domaines. This portfolio includes prestigious names across Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhône, and Napa Valley. Under Frédéric Engerer, Latour has undergone extensive investment and innovation. In 2012, the estate boldly withdrew from En Primeur, releasing wines only when deemed ready to drink.
Château Latour (Grand Vin): Produced from the historic L’Enclos vineyard surrounding the château. Les Forts de Latour: Introduced in 1966, now considered a fine wine in its own right. Pauillac de Latour: From younger vines, approachable in youth yet distinctly Pauillac in character. The estate’s plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The wines are revered for their structure, concentration, and ability to evolve gracefully over decades.
