The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Ried Zwerithaler Kammergut Smaragd comes from vines planted in 1907, chiefly Grüner Veltliner with smaller proportions of Gouais Blanc and other historic varieties, across nine terraces facing southeast and shaded in the afternoon. The woodland scent of woodruff charms the nose alongside citric and green apple freshness. Citrus fresh, totally fluid and superbly smooth, it is absolutely concentrated but without an ounce of fat, just serene gentleness paired with springlike freshness. A remarkable wine of gentlest smoothness and calming quietude.
