Description

This comes from a 0.7-hectare holding across three plots. Simon uses 25% whole bunches and one-third new oak. The nose shows pleasingly tart raspberry and cherry fruit with a spicy edge. There is more weight on the palate than you might expect, but the fruit is crisp and the tannins are very fine, making for a very drinkable expression of Santenay. Simon takes great care not to extract too heavily here. The finish is long and rewarding.

25% whole bunch vinification, one third new wood. Fresh purple with a robust dark red fruit on the nose. Good acidity behind an extra burst of concentrated dark strawberry fruit with plums and raspberry also in the mix.
