Description

This is a parcel selection of around 4,000 bottles per year, made from two adjacent plots on steep slopes in Fleys. One parcel is sunnier, the other cooler. This is a village Chablis with ageing potential. The nose is tighter, more mineral and more vinous the standard bottling, and the palate also has a more serious feel. There’s plenty of texture and grip here, along with a little more mid-palate breadth.

Chablis

Chablis lies further north than the rest of Burgundy, located about halfway between Beaune and Paris; it’s actually not all that far from Champagne. The wines here – exclusively whites from Chardonnay – differ in style from other white Burgundies: they tend towards steeliness and flintiness.
