Description

In 2022, Ben tried a one-off with some fruit from his Belles Côtes vineyard in Meursault: he used vinification intégrale, a form of barrel fermentation. Ben used a 500-litre barrel (an ouvrée) and was so pleased with the result that it is repeated this year, with Vosne-Romanée fruit from La Croix Blanche. This is a very pretty wine with lots of natural freshness, and the structure to keep, too. It will only be in magnum; anticipated volume is 340 magnums.

Jasper Morris MW 89/100
From La Croix Blanche in Vosne-Romanée, vinified in the barrel and now bottled in magnum format. Two 500 litre barrels vinified became one in wine. Medium deep purple. More reserved on the nose, and much tighter on the palate but with a sense of nobility, and good tension.
