Description

Aligoté can be a little astringent if not picked fully ripe, but there are some wonderful 2023s thanks to the warmth of the vintage. This one is from 0.7 hectares of 40-year-old vines below Volnay. It was fermented and aged in oak, giving a lovely roundness to the mid-palate, accompanied by plenty of juicy citrus fruit and typical Aligoté salinity. This will be delicious from the outset. It’s the ideal introduction to this increasingly fashionable variety.
