Chablis is located roughly halfway between Beaune and Paris, in the northernmost part of Burgundy. Only white wines are made here, and they are all from Chardonnay. These wines stand apart from other white Burgundies, typically leaner, steely, and flintier than those from the Côte de Beaune. The Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines from this region have excellent ageing potential.

Tasting note

We’ve worked once again with Sébastien Dampt for our Chablis. Made entirely without oak, it combines the classic, steely minerality of Chablis with the pleasingly ripe fruit of the 2023 vintage. The nose has notes of iodine and citrus fruit, while the palate is juicy and moreish with white peach, lime and oyster shell. This is the perfect partner for fresh seafood and goat’s cheese.

Chablis lies further north than the rest of Burgundy, located about halfway between Beaune and Paris; it’s actually not all that far from Champagne. The wines here – exclusively whites from Chardonnay – differ in style from other white Burgundies: they tend towards steeliness and flintiness.
