White Crozes is such a treat. Beautiful stone fruits intermingle with surprising levels of pepperiness. There is a roundness to the palate that is very enjoyable. I like how friendly it is. The balance is very good. Although not designed for long ageing this is one you want to drink now.

The 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Domaine de Roure displays moderately intense lemon flesh, linden blossom, yellow apple and a touch of cedar on its aromatic profile. Medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, this is a neat and tidy white Crozes.

Crozes-Hermitage

This is the largest AC in the Northern Rhône, producing over half of the Northern Rhône’s total production. The appellation was created in 1937 with the single commune of Crozes, but today there are 11 communes. The Syrah variety is king, but Marsanne and Roussanne are also permitted (up to 15 percent). The wines vary hugely in quality and style, with the majority of the reds fairly light in style.
