Description

The holding here is 0.45 hectares, located in the north-east corner of the vineyard, right up against Griotte-Chambertin. The vines were planted by Fabien’s grandfather Edmond in 1974. The 60% new oak makes its presence felt at this early stage, but the sheer weight and volume of fruit should easily absorb it with a few years in bottle. It is rich and intense, with plenty of power but also an underlying freshness and finesse.
