Description
There is a nice struck-match reduction at first, along with some fresh orange, pear and melon notes. There is some phenolic grip and weight on the palate, which feels quite serious though doesn’t veer into heaviness; it’s chalky and mineral and very clean. There is a good crisp bite of citrus, like mandarins and easy peelers, and a tingling freshness to keep everything in check. There is nothing oily or overdone here. It is very good indeed.
