Description

This monopole vineyard of 2.23 hectares?contains a parcel planted in 1917! Elevated to 1er Cru status from the 2020 vintage, this is a serious Pouilly-Fuissé with the weight and backbone in 2023 to age extraordinarily well. Aromas are of stone fruit and leap from the glass. The palace is dense, compact and concentrated, with mid-palate flavours of peach, grapefruit, lemon and a mouth-filling, round, spicy nature. There is a slight hint of ginger, too. Acidity is well-judged, and it has a lengthily delicious finish. This has all the attributes to suggest it could go the long haul if you wish. Personally, I think it will be best after 5-8 years. Bravo!
