Description

En Crèche is a relatively new addition to the Merlin range, added in 2017; it is Théo and Paul’s vineyard. The brothers have 0.35 hectares of vines here, facing south on a steep slope. It ripens early, so is among the first sites picked during harvest. This is nicely perfumed with a little floral and mineral character. The acidity is not particularly high, relatively speaking, though the wine isn’t fat; lively notes of lime flower and white pepper give a sense of energy. There is about 20% new oak here.
