Description

One of Samuel’s two parcels here sits atop Chapelot, the other in the triangle of Montée de Tonnerre. A good 80% is made in tank and the remainder in used barrel. As usual, there is plenty of complexity in this wine; it somehow manages to be dense, weighty and chewy yet also prickly, zesty and energetic. The overall feeling is of a suave and sophisticated wine with plenty of stuffing.
