Description

Although only a matter of yards above Meursault-Perrières, this area feels like a different world. There is a special atmosphere here, and the wines reflect that. This red, made from one hectare of only five that remain planted here with Pinot Noir, has a savoury, unbridled feel. The fruit is distinctly dark whilst remaining paradoxically taut and mineral. A band of hail passed through here in June 2023, naturally reducing the yield to 45hl/ha.

Jasper Morris MW 90-92/100
This is an experimental version. The fruit was mostly destemmed, pressed a little by hand to get the juices running, then left in wine globe for 10 months with the skins, before being racked in July and bottled. Fresh purple in colour, with lively dark red fruits on the palate and a sensual texture. Not at all classic but rather lovely.
