Description

The domaine has a 0.73-hectare plot in this distinctive Premier Cru in the north of Nuits. Aux Thorey is a deeply sloped vineyard with stony gravel soils over limestone. The wine has rich aromatics of flowers, spice and herbs along with vivid red fruit. It is structured but supply, with a real density of fruit. There are 50% whole bunches this year and around 40% new oak.

50% whole bunch vinification. Mid purple, lifted fruit, not yet particularly detailed on the nose, medium density but firm structure, surprising tannins in fact, and more of a weight of cherry-raspberry fruit to finish.
