Description

This is in the northern part of Nuits, close to Vosne-Romanée; it shares some of the finesse and red-fruit character of its neighbour. The nose is concentrated, with intense strawberry purity, flowers, spice and plummy fruit. There is just under 50% whole-bunch here. You can feel the tannic structure, but this has a very supple texture and real finesse. This is saline, mineral and really refined, without any excess power or muscle.

Racked before the next vintage. Medium depth of colour, the bouquet shows a riper level of fruit, a bit soft. Warmer behind, the tannins are ripe, still a little acidity and a length of softer strawberry fruit to finish.
