Description

De Montille has 1.26 hectares of vines here, over 50 years old, lying south of Bouchard’s Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus. There is 50% whole-bunch here, lending a spicy, floral character to the nose. There is powerful dark spice and sweet supple fruit on the palate, with good weight and chalky, mineral tannins. The finish is long. The 25% new oak is well integrated.
