Description

Les Aussy is more commonly sold as Roncerets by other producers. These are vines on the site’s upper slopes, dating back to 1948 and planted on brown soils over ancient alluvial material. The expansive new cellar allows for more room and control. This is a rich, red fruit-led wine with layered earthy and spicy notes. The way the lush tannins wrap themselves around this supple wine is wonderful.

A rich mid purple, with a wealth of dark berries on the nose, including blueberry as well as the softer red fruits. Medium bodied, with some minerals and a firmer finish. Agreeable with some persistence and a little wood behind.
