Samuel’s two holdings are interesting: one faces east, the other west. The former provides freshness, the latter bringing ripeness. This really comes through in the wine, which has voluptuous, creamy fruit that swells over the palate, kept in check by a genuine freshness behind. It is powerful yet elegant, “finely honed” as Samuel himself puts it.
