Description

Ben has added another vineyard, Le Village, to his Vosne-Romanée tapestry, which already comprised five sites running the length of the appellation. There is no better expression of Vosne’s spirit, combining luscious textures and alluring fruit. It does not have the complexity of the village’s truly great vineyards, but it delivers a properly meaningful and valid expression of place. The aromas are especially beguiling this year.

Jasper Morris MW 90-92/100
Dense purple, though the nose needs and will get a freshening. The fruit though shows its paces in the mouth, with all the nobility of fine Vosne-Romanée, very sensual but with a backbone built for the long term. Delicious, and will be even better when freshened up.
