Description

This comes from ancient Gamay vines, up to 120 years old, in Flagey-Echézeaux. It is a demonstration of the immediate pleasure that this often-overlooked variety can provide. There is pure cherry fruit here, and plenty of it. The wine has a velvety texture and generosity across the palate, with good acidity and very supple tannins.

Pretty pink to ruby, with charming fruit, one could almost think pinot though it is 100% gamay. High acidity and very peppery around brisk red fruit. Fun wine.
