Description

Village-level Vougeot is rarely seen, perhaps because it makes up just 4.5% of the appellation. Benjamin has made just three barrels in 2023. We were so charmed this year that we decided to take most of our allocation in magnum. While there is no whole-bunch, this has a marked violet perfume that invites you in. There is delicious, sweet red fruit on the attack, lovely energy and a juicy, crunchy feel. It really klicks on nicely at the finish, too.

Very pale colour. A fresh chiselled stony white fruit on the nose. Pure fresh apple and pear, quite concentrated, a little bit of citrus, middleweight with good persistence.
