Description

The Merlins have 0.44 hectares of vines here, though strict selection means they don’t use it all for this cuvée. The oldest vines here are from 1962. This is produced from Chardonnay Muscaté, a clone which imparts a pronounced floral nose of honeysuckle and garden flowers along with an almost grapelike character. This is creamy and relatively full, with vanilla spice and an almost oily texture. This may have some particular appeal to fans of white Rhône.
