Description
For this cuvée, Ben uses some of his own fruit from Meursault along with grape purchases from the Côte d’Or (including Vosne-Romanée) and the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Given the warmth of the year, the Hautes-Côtes fruit brings some freshness to the blend. Some of the wine was aged in Wineglobe and amphorae. The wine has a mealy, slightly savoury nose along with fresh, lively citrus character. There is a real freshness to it.

About this wine
Bourgogne
In the Burgundy hierarchy, “Bourgogne” denotes the entry level of the classification system. This is a so-called “regional” appellation, theoretically covering the entire vineyard area of Burgundy. This is distinct from the more geographically precise village-level, Premier Cru and Grand Cru designations. The two most common Bourgogne-level wines are Bourgogne Blanc (“White Burgundy”) and Bourgogne Rouge (“Red Burgundy”).
