Description

Jean-Baptiste is lucky enough to own two of the 14 hectares of vines in Les Grands Charrons, a very high-quality village site which in a way is the extension of the Premiers Crus. His vines are 40-60 years old. There are ripe citrus notes on the nose, with plenty of freshness. The palate is elegant and fresh, with lively acidity and a delicate white flower note. This is lovely with lots of finesse.

Jasper Morris MW 89-82/100
Fine pale colour, slightly more savoury on the nose eschewing the plumpness of the first Bourgogne. Very nicely balanced, a bit more white fruit here than the riper yellow notes, with a long finish with an agreeable slightly creamy texture. Planting dates if you are interested: 1992/1982/1960/1947.
