Description
This is from a small, south-facing vineyard just above the hamlet of Gamay. Somehow the reds at this address always come as an afterthought during the tasting, yet they rarely fail to impress. The joy of this wine is its direct simplicity, with its red-fruit juiciness coupled with a crunchy bitterness that refreshes and cleanses. Yet there is enough substance here to suggest the wine will develop well in bottle. Drink now or later; there will be pleasure in both.
