Description

Then 2022 vintage was excellent in Rías Baixas and that really comes through in this delicious wine, made from grapes grown on granite in the province of Cambados. However, it is not just the vintage that shines through; this is a serious Albariño, fermented in concrete, oak and stainless steel, and aged on the lees for 12 months.

Tasting note

The nose is absolutely beautiful with stone fruit, yellow apples and pears. The aromas are intensely focused with a clear-cut, granitic energy. The palate has a fabulous, laser-sharp focus with plenty of citrus fruit and a just-perfect texture whilst the precise, stoney minerality cuts through on the long, yellow apple finish. This is already really lovely – but well-made Albariño can last for many years. Try this over the next decade to see how it will mature with time.

A complex expression of Rias Baixas that’s full of minerals, golden kiwis, apricots, kumquats, oyster shells and a touch of spices. Quite intense and saline but still supple in nature, with a full body and a round, lengthy finish. Serious. 100% albarino from a 3.8-hectare Troviscoso vineyard in Salnes. Drink or hold.
