Description

Four barrels (one new) are used from 60—to 70-year-old vines. Champans produces charming and rounded wines, and this is a textbook example. The nose is floral and packed with sweet red berries, while the palate is juicy and enveloping. Ripe strawberry coats the mouth, along with layered, chalky tannins. This is long, complex, and satisfying.
