From a .25 ha parcel in Rugiens Hauts that was acquired in 1934.

A pretty and moderately high-toned nose freely offers up aromas of the essence of red cherry, violet, and crushed fennel. The powerful, larger-bodied flavours have excellent density and conclude in a very firm and overtly rustic effort that is also very old-school in style. I like old-school wines, though this is borderline ham-fisted.
