2022 Vino di Contrada Bombolieri BB, Occhipinti, Sicily, Italy

Description

100% Frappato from 25-year-old vines planted on white sand with clayey limestone above a solid limestone bedrock. The wine is fermented in cement tanks and is then macerated for 20 days on the skins before ageing for 20 months in 2000L oval concrete tanks. Delightfully floral, with wine is light on its feet and has great balance between red fruit, bright acidity and malleable tannins.
