Description

This is a very interesting vineyard, with old vines planted in 1937. It is located opposite Clos de l’Arlot, on the eastern side of the road, where the land is higher. The aromas here are simply stunning, 50% whole-bunch, elevating the floral characters to an explosive level. There is a savoury, spicy character here.

Jasper Morris MW 91-93/100

The 50% whole bunch vinification is more evident on this limestone soil. Au Leurey ripens early, and indeed, there is a great balance here between the freshness from the stems and a ripe floral type of fruit. Beautiful and complex flavours march through to a long finish. Rose petals and peony. Juicy and salivatory together. I am licking my lips.
