Description

This is very open and approachable and will be bottled before Christmas. There is the usual solid middle core, slightly tannic, with plenty of appealing aromatics waiting in the wings. This 0.5 hectare parcel is a recent purchase by Ben in 2021, and he firmly believes in its potential.

From a domaine-owned parcel measuring .49 ha.

A spicy, pretty and airy nose features notes of fresh red berries and a whiff of warm earth. The beautifully textured, if not especially dense, middleweight flavours give a fine detail to the succulent, balanced, youthfully austere finale that could use better depth. Lovely and understated.
