Description

This wine is from just over 1.5 hectares of vines, planted in the late 1960s and early ’70s. There is something reminiscent of Riesling in this wine: notes of lime, fennel and anise, all underpinned by a razor-like acidity. This crackles with energy.

Sampled from tank – there will be a barrel component blended in later. Mid lemon colour. Fresh clean chiselled. Fills the palate with white fruit, especially pears, a touch of sucrosity, then tension behind. A little lime juice at the finish.
