Critics reviews

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW 92-94/100

Deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2022 Feytit-Clinet stormed out with powerful scents of plum preserves, baked black cherries, boysenberries, and wafts of underbrush and dried Provence herbs.

Full-bodied, concentrated, and with a solid backbone of firm, rounded tannins, it delivers just enough freshness to lift the dense black fruits on the long finish.

The 2022 Feytit-Clinet, Pomerol's 'dark horse', is very perfumed on the nose with crushed violets and black plummy scents. Again, there's impressive delineation and, considering the season, delicacy.

The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and good depth. Cedar and graphite notes appear toward the finish. Fine length, this is Feytit back in form after the 2021.

Smooth and seductive with ripe red berry fruit, floral touches, liquorice, and cola-edged tannins. It feels well worked, not too over-extracted with detail and has a gentle ease. It may lack a touch of vibrancy but good power and concentration.

A firm and juicy red with lots of berries, chocolate, salt and lightly toasted wood. Some smoke. Soft tannins. Flavorful finish.

Jane Anson 95/100

Excellent appellation signature, great balance, and real depth of flavour, and while there are a ton of tannins here, they are smooth, integrated, and concentrated, but this is a serious wine with serious ageing potential. It's absolutely one to look out for; damson and black cherry fruit abound, with cocoa bean and incense notes, a buy. 70% new oak.

I continue to absolutely love the wines from Jeremy Chasseuil’s tiny estate located in the heart of Pomerol. His 2022 Château Feytit-Clinet checks in as 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, pulled from 60% of the production, and it sports a dense purple hue to go with a decadent, powerful, full-bodied style in its darker currants, tobacco, chocolate, and graphite-driven aromas and flavours.

The tannins are substantial yet ripe and integrated, and it has a great mid-palate and outstanding length.
