Description

This 0.2-hectare site is in the clay-rich climat of Châtains. These vines are relatively young (almost 30 years old) and this tends to be the earliest-drinking Premier Cru here. The nose is open and giving, with abundant white fruit. The peach character follows through on the palate, dancing over the tongue with wonderful elegance.

Jasper Morris MW 90-92/100

A fine pale colour. A light lick of oak on the nose, but the wood is discreet. Just 4 barrels here. The small plot in Chatains was planted in 1999. A bundle of white fruit on the palate, from quite a clay rich sector at the very top. Not therefore the most typical of Vaillons but a good wine.
