Tasting note

Our Sancerre comes once again from our good friend David Sautereau, whose family has been farming grapes in the village of Crézancy since 1683. The warm 2022 season has imparted sun-kissed notes of peach and melon, which complement the classic grassy, lemon and lime flavours. The finish is dry and satisfying with a lip-smacking iodine note. This is the perfect partner to seafood or the local Crottin de Chavignol goat’s cheese.

Sancerre

Sancerre is a famous white Sauvignon Blanc appellation located on the left bank of the Loire. Its 14 communes are widely dispersed, covering nearly 3,000 hectares over vertiginous valleys at up to 350 metres above sea level, and three distinct soil types. As with nearby Pouilly-Fumé, an increasing number of single-vineyard wines are being raised in French oak, mostly 500-litre and demi-muids.
