Description

A blend of the domaine’s lower-lying, and thus not Premier Cru, vineyards, from clay and stoney soils. François uses only the first press of juice for an open and accessible style, and the wine is fermented and held in stainless steel. This is a very enjoyable, well-knit, gently spicy wine with subtle notes of warm apricot.

The 2022 Montagny Tête de Cuvée has a light, tropical-scented bouquet with aromas of guava, papaya and candied orange peel developing in the glass. The palate is slightly viscous in texture. There’s plenty of extract here, though an element of flatness hampers the finish.
