Nearly 32% of the 2022 Avni Pinot Noir comes from selected blocks of the Lingua Franca Estate. The remaining 68% comes from our best neighbouring vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills, including Hope Well- elevating the complexity while retaining the round, savoury character of this cuvée, but also from the South Salem Hills to Yamhill-Carlton.
The 2022 Avni Pinot Noir might just be the most complex Avni I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. There’s a wonderful intensity and concentration which amplifies the whole experience, all while maintaining Avni’s classic rich complexity. Racy, sleek, vibrant and floral are the descriptions that first comes to mind, and on further review, I thought this to be a perfectly approachable wine, which will only get better. Avni offers great value and is not to be overlooked by Pinot enthusiasts.
