Description

This is from three plots within, arguably, the village’s best vineyard; south-facing with limestone soil. Made half in foudres and half in a mix of 600-litre and 228-litre barrels, there is 10% new oak. The nose has ripe citrus and white peach fruit with a subtle, struck match reduction. Creamy, rich fruit and tangy acidity make this an eminently drinkable wine.

Benjamin was able to keep the lees after racking as they were so pure and continue to nourish the wine. Very pale in colour. There is plenty of energy here, lemon infused up front, just the right flesh behind, with a long, agile finish.
