Description

This cuvée comes from seven parcels of the domaine’s oldest vines (40-70 years old) in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, on steep slopes opposite Fourchaume. This is a very serious village wine. It is intense and concentrated with a chewy, precise finish.

Equally pale but even more striking, with the saline mineral nose and a sense of purity. A striking freshness of fruit, Kimmeridge put to good use, with a lovely clean and pure finish. Real delicacy with intensity.

From vines in La Chapelle Vaupelteigne.

Here, too, a touch of mineral reduction adds breadth to the lightly wooded aromas of oyster shell, iodine, and pear. As is usually the case, there is slightly more volume and richness to the appealingly textured medium-weight flavours that possess a succulent mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the lemon, powerful, and mildly rustic finale. This is a fine Chablis villages and worth your interest. Outstanding.
