This is a very good site, a walled clos with old vines on a south-facing slope in Meloisey, above Pommard. It is near an old quarry and there is plenty of limestone. New oak is 25% and all the fruit is destemmed. This has an extra dimension over the Dalignière, and is redolent of crushed cherry and violets.

Jasper Morris MW 87-89/100

A rich and intense purple. The bouquet is notably more luxuriant than the Vieilles Vignes cuvée. Ripe dark raspberries with considerable class. Easily enough fruit intensity to cover 20% new wood. Succulent, dense, with some lively mineral acidity behind. Full but quite fine, with still some tannins to resolve.
