This is a fine 0.4-hectare site, facing south and high on the hill as it turns towards Nantoux. The vines were planted in 1934 (some have been replaced but are not yet in the blend). There’s one-third whole-bunch, yet it is shy to open. The palate is plump but strongly mineral. This is complex for a village wine.

Critics reviews
Intense colour with black centre. However, the bouquet is much livelier with an exciting mineral thread through the dark berries. I do like the balance of this – it is a pretty intense wine but made through a balance of fruit and mineral acidity much more than on the tannins. Good length.
