Description

This cuvée is from young vines from the prized parcel Les Quarts. It is quite lovely and forward on the nose, with hints of honey, white flowers and quince. The palate has good tension associated with waxy characteristics. Twenty percent was aged in used barrels, the rest in tank for purity of fruit.

Allen Meadows 89-91/100

Cool and very pretty aromas include those of Granny Smith apples, lemon rind and a hint of quinine character. There is a beguiling sense of energy to the rich and solidly voluminous flavors that terminate in a bone-dry and impressively long finish where evident minerality slowly emerges. This is also very good and worth considering.
