Description
The fruit is now all from the Côte de Beaune, with contributions from Volnay and Pommard. There is no St Romain now: the parcel is being replanted to Chardonnay. The wine has plenty of fresh, crunchy fruit and attractive weight. It is improving all the time during its élevage.

Critics reviews
There is enough reduction to push the underlying fruit to the background, though there is both good verve and freshness to the delicious lighter-weight flavours that conclude in a delicious, refreshing, and balanced finale. To enjoy young, though, a few years of keeping would help to add depth if desired.
Drink from 2026 onward
A deep mid purple, with unusual intensity – this includes Monthelie and 1er Cru. An interesting mix of sweet raspberry, some blackcurrant, juicy cherry. Medium bodied, a fine balance between tannins and acidity alongside the abundant fruit.
Drink 2025 - 2029
About this wine
Bourgogne
In the Burgundy hierarchy, “Bourgogne” denotes the entry level of the classification system. This is a so-called “regional” appellation, theoretically covering the entire vineyard area of Burgundy. This is distinct from the more geographically precise village-level, Premier Cru and Grand Cru designations. The two most common Bourgogne-level wines are Bourgogne Blanc (“White Burgundy”) and Bourgogne Rouge (“Red Burgundy”).
